Intelligent Access Program (IAP)

ADT Security has teamed with Minorplanet Asia-Pacific, a leading supplier of vehicle management information systems, to work towards becoming one of Australia’s certified Intelligent Access Program (IAP) Service Providers.

By enabling demonstrated compliance to access conditions set down by road authorities, transport companies will be able to use the IAP to gain improved access to the Australian road network, such as higher mass limits and access to wider route areas on a state-by-state basis*. Minorplanet’s all-in-one in-vehicle unit (IVU) is being designed to meet both regulatory and business requirements. Meanwhile, the Service Provider Software being developed in conjunction by the two companies will run on ADT’s world class secure data centre to guarantee peace of mind.

IAP is a voluntary program, but with benefits accruing to transport operators, owner drivers, logistics managers and drivers, and with the potential to deliver safer roads for everyone, the two companies are expecting strong adoption.

Minorplanet has applied for, and is actively working towards certification by Transport Certification Australia (TCA).
