Installation Requirements |

indiPendant is easy to install in your home and comes with a step by step installation guide, however, there are a few instances when a technician may need to attend. Please check the list below before ordering on-line. If you feel that a technician will need to install the indiPendant, please call 131 238 to discuss. |

Do you have a Landline Telephone? |

If there is no landline telephone connection you will need to have one installed. |

Do you have call barring on your telephone line? |
|

The medical alarm makes an outgoing call when you press the button for help. Therefore you must remove any call barring. |

ADSL/Broadband? |

Yes (a filter will need to be connected) |

Multiple telephone sockets? |

Yes (a mode 3 socket will need to be connected. This will ensure that indiPendant will still work if one of the telephones is off the hook for some reason) |

Do you have a back to base monitored security alarm system in your home? |

If you have an alarm system installed we will need to arrange for a technician to install your medical alarm so we can perform some extra checks to make sure the telephone lines are functioning properly for both your security alarm and your medical alarm. |

Do you have a mobile telephone, or a friend or relative with a mobile telephone, who can be in attendance on the day you set up your indiPendant? |
This will enable you to test the indiPendant unit with our technical support staff over the phone and make sure it is set up correctly. |
If no mobile telephone is available on the day of installation, that’s fine, it may just take a little more time to connect the unit. |
