Since July 2014, the amount of burglaries in Canberra has increased by 7.5% which means there were 179 more burglaries in 2018-19 than 2014-15. Burglaries peaked in 2015-16, with 2,625 that were recorded during the period.

Belconnen had the highest number of burglaries and property damage between July 2014 and June 2019 with 8,193 total offences during that period. Which area in the ACT has the most burglaries?

According to data from the ACT Government, Belconnen has the most burglaries between July 2014 and June 2019 with a total of 2,636. While the Inner North have the second most burglaries (2,555) and ‘Other Areas’ have the third most amount of burglaries (2,135).

As a proportion of total burglaries, Belconnen have 20% of the total amount of burglaries in the ACT between July 2014 and June 2019. Closely followed by Inner North with 19% and Other Areas with 16%.

In terms of damage to property, Belconnen, once again, has the greatest amount of crimes with 5,557 offences between July 2018 and June 2019. Inner North had the second most offences (4,811) and Tuggeranong had the third-most amount of property damage offences (5,164).

As for the proportion of property damage crimes in the ACT, Belconnen made up 23% of all property damage offences between July 2014 and June 2019. While Inner North had 20% and Tuggeranong had 18% of property damage crimes over that period.

Yes, ADT Security will call the Fire Brigade in the event of your smoke/heat detector sending an alarm signal to our back to base monitoring depending on your state. ADT will attempt to contact you and your emergency contacts, if unsuccessful or there is a confirmed/verified fire event ADT will notify the fire brigade or send a patrol (if authorised).
